Master Planned Community in St. George Sets New Precedent

The 2020 St George Area Parade of Homes has several Parade homes featured in the Desert Color master-planned community. Be sure to visit them during the Parade!

Desert Color–a 3,400 acre master-planned community located on SITLA land east of I-15 and the Southern Parkway—is Utah’s first master-planned community to adopt the Localscapes standards for the entire development. Localscapes is a statewide program that encourages functional, water-efficient landscape design. In addition to adopting Localscapes standards, the developers of Desert Color have installed a metered secondary water system for irrigation purposes.

SUHBA Scholarships Available!

The Southern Utah Home Builders Association (SUHBA) has an established scholarship program.

Each year, SUHBA will award scholarships to students pursuing post high school education. Preference for scholarships will be given to students pursuing construction-related education and students affiliated with SUHBA.  The scholarship may be used to fund almost any post-secondary education, i.e., college or vocational, public or private. Monies will be paid directly to the school of choice of the winners to help defray the cost of tuition. Recipients may be awarded up to $1,000 per academic year.  Applicant must be Grade 12 or equivalent to apply.
