2019 SUHBA Scholarship Recipients Announced

The Southern Utah Home Builders Association (SUHBA) has announced its 2019 SUHBA Scholarship recipients. A total of $31,000 (increased from $25,500 last year) in college scholarships will be given out this year to 49 students and are made possible in part by funds generated from the annual SUHBA Charity Golf Tournament and the St. George Area Parade of Homes. SUHBA has distributed over $184,000 for college scholarships since 2006.

SUHBA members believe in the value of education and we are pleased to be able to give out these scholarships to deserving individuals. The giving doesn’t stop there! SUHBA members may attend the Utah Building Industry Conference held September 13th and other SUHBA education workshops for free. SUHBA also supports the Skills USA Program through Dixie Technical College by giving $2000 for students to compete at the national level. Additionally, $10,000 was allocated to support Dixie Technical College and Careers in Construction in “Building a Skilled Labor Workforce”. Providing scholarships is one of the many ways we live by our Mission Statement which is to support the home building industry and benefit its members, partners, and communities through education, relationships, advocacy, and service.  Congratulations to the 2019 SUHBA Scholarship recipients!
